Powerbook G4 won't load, boot or anything.

    Assuming it's the HDD, which I already got a replacement.

    Can I take out the HDD and install it in an enclosure and run some sort of recovery software? I had alot of personal stuff as well as my portfolio work in there =(

    Take out the hdd and try the freezer trick. Freezer it in a plastic bag for thirty minutes. Then QUICKLY firewire it to a mac and try to pull your files of it or copy the disc.

    This is possibly the most out there thing I have ever heard in my life hahaha.

    So it needs to be an enclosure that has firewire (I assume for the faster speeds)?


    Is transferring the files to a MBP ok? Guessing it just needs to be something running OSX?

    I'll look more into it. Thanks.
