I will start by saying that I have reset pram, nvram, and PMU.

The laptop seems to not sleep at random times. I can almost always reproduce this if i simply leave it on, and unplugged from the charger and open. The screen goes dark as normal (I have it set that way) after a few minutes but the laptop never goes to sleep and eventually just runs the battery down.

This seems to also happen sometimes when the laptop is shut, and I think its sleeping, it seems to run the battery down faster than it ever used to.

I have an apple battery that was replaced by apple for me through the battery replacement program about 4 months ago so by all standards the battery is "new"

I am running 10.4.9 on the machine listed below.

What else can I try?

I had a problem sort of like that... I ended up, after calling Apple, just doing an Archive and Install. It works great now!~

I had planned on wiping and reinstalling everything in about 2 weeks anyways after I move so I might as well just do that.
