I just recieved my iBook and the first thing I did was install ram, well after putting it back together I thought the keyboard looked off, but after reading the posts here I think it's the way it's supposed to be.

Bulge in iBook Keyboard

I just recieved my iBook and the first thing I did was install ram, well after putting it back together I thought the keyboard looked off, but after reading the posts here I think it's the way it's supposed to be.

The ribbon cable which attaches the keyboard to the iBook seems to be the cause of the spacebar being seated unevenly. However, if the keyboard creaks a great deal, it might be due to the flexible backplane being warped. You can try to bend it slightly to reduce the wobble, but if it really bothers you, call Applecare and have them send you a new keyboard, they're quite good about that.
