Hay all, just a quick question. I have a Powerbook with Panther on it and everytime I close the lid, the airport card *And my internet* gets turned off, is there anyway or setting that I can check to stop this?
All I want to basically do is close the lid and save the LCD but keep my Powerbook checking my email.
Thanks.

There should be apps on the net that let you run your PB in closed lid mode. The reason your internet turns off is because closing the lid initiates sleep whereby the computer "turns off." It's just like shutting down. However if you find that app to run your pb with the lid closed, I won't travel with it like that. Could cause HDD damage.

could you just have the lcd turn off after a short amount of time (system prefs) so that you could leave the pb open but still save the lcd. just a thought.
