Powerbook resell value?

I am considering buying a 15' powerbook, and am wondering if anyone has any experience trying to sell a used powerbook or other computer, after the next model comes out.
For example, say I were to buy a powerbook for $2000 and a g5 powerbook or other model came out. Around how much would the resell value ot the original powerbook be? Also, if I were to sell it on ebay without a seller rating, would I still find buyers?

It doesn't drop too far in price. I have found powerbooks to be very good in holding their value. You will almost definatly not be able to sell a powerbook without any rating on ebay.

If you can't sell without a good rating on ebay, do you have any suggestions of where or how I would go about selling a powerbook? Does apple buy them back?
