Powerbook Screen Problem...

...A friends Pismo G3 has been showing some strange colour deformations, I can only explain them as clusters of cyan pixels scattered randomly across the screen.

We thought they where dead or badly functioning pixels but I've managed to cure the problem by pressing onto the screen and the outer cover at the same time until the problem resolves itself.

Anyone encountered anything similar?
