Hi guys! I live in the UK, and my powerbook suffers from the white spots on the screen. I just heard about apple's powerbook screen exchange. http://www.apple.com/support/powerbook/displayprogram/

There is an Apple store in London I could bring it to, but I was wondering if anyone knew how long I they take it away for and whether there is anything I should be careful about. Thnx for your advice!

The Apple Store I have been to has typically quoted me 3-5 business day turnaround time.
At least here in the US, they have also recommended NOT taking it in on a weekend, as these are the busiest times for them.

As for what to be careful about, BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP!
While it makes sense that they probably shouldn't have to do anything to your HD, you just never know. Make sure you back everything up.

Good luck - sorry you'll have to be without your baby for a while. It's a rather hollow feeling, I know.
