I just had my powerbook display panel replaced after a big falll, breaking the screen. the powerbook was usable after the fall, except only with an external monitor. I had the work done bye a apple reseller, and i got it back and the 'book doesnt go to sleep when the display iis shut, asnd does wake when its opened. I almost fried my comp. when it was running intense tasked closed and in a heavy laptop bag. It was burning my fingers when i took it out.

Could this have happened when they installed the new panel. Not hooking something up, or could this have broken during the fall?

Thanks

Take it back. Sounds like it's become confused as to when the display is up as opposed to down. 🙁
