Powerbook Tadah Sound

My powerbook doesn't always make the tadah sound when booting up, why is that? There are no other issues.

This may seem kinda "duh", but is the sound muted when you restart/shut down your PB? The sound of the start-up noise is as loud as the volume is when you are logged out.

Problem Solved.

Thanks for the help. The problem was infact that the sound on my computer was muted.
