Does any chargers exist which delivers more power than the 96W USB‑C Power Adapter that apple provides? The review from notebookcheck.net says it provides a max of 103W and the performance is constrained due to this power limitation.

1) Can we get more performance if a more powerful charger is used?
2) Why was this apple charger providing greater than 96W?
3) Can any USB-C charger be used to charge this laptop?

Any charger can be used. It’s not unusual for a 96w charger to provide slightly more power. It all depends on how it was measured, and there is always a little engineering margin.

There are no more-powerful chargers available now. But a more powerful one would be unlikely to help as performance would probably be constrained by thermals.

According to Apple and Apple Genius you cannot charge your 16 inch MacBook Pro with a lower wattage charger but can charge your MacBook with a higher wattage charger.

That is definitely not true. I use a 45w charger with my 16" when I'm in the kitchen and just want to make sure that I'm not going to run out of battery. As long as I keep to basic browsing and youtube it will charge the Macbook, albeit very slowly.
