Powerful Earthquake And Tsunami Hit Indonesia.

This is a breaking story. No telling how many are dead and the tsunami has washed away a lot of houses and buildings.

So far we have hundreds dead, and that number is expected to rise. Perhaps not as bad as the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004, but still a huge disaster.

Not sure why. I have a good idea though however some commentary saying that they asked for international help sooner than expected indicating early on it was a bad one. Yesterday, caught a story that the first large aid shipments have arrived.

First, it seems like tsunamis are mainly in the Pacific and hit islands where many people live close to sea level. Has nothing to do with "poor people".

Good point. When we have hurricanes, though, it's usually the wealthy who get hit cause they've built up with their nice beach-view homes. But the folks who fish for a living....they're still struggling.
