Just finished adding ethernet to my powermac. Now it has internet and usb capability. Finally somewhat useful lol

Those are great machines. I bought a 6400 back in '96 at CompUSA, it came with a free 15" multimedia display ($500) for $999. I ended giving that to my kids ay my ex's house and I got a PM 6500 at a local university store. I maxed out the ram and got a L2 G3 card. I sold it to a friend and last I knew it was sitting in his garage. I'm going to try to get that back.

Yeah mine is a great find for $10 with the via adapter. Not as stylish as my iMac G4 but a cool computer nonetheless.

Hi, I'm after getting a network card for my 6500, it didn't come with one, I've found lists of cards that are compatible with this unit and have the drivers for it but just curious to know which card you ended up buying and did you have any issues getting it up and running?

I know this thread is old so it's wishful thinking on getting a reply but thought I'd try anyway.

Cheers, Ken.

And here I am in march 2022 wondering the same thing! I Put in a Realtek RTL8139D and the supposed correct driver and nothing. Can’t get it to work in my 6500 running 9.1.
