Hi,

I own a PowerMac G3 B&W w/ 384Mb Ram. I'm running 10.3.8 at the moment, but the problem started back when I updated to 10.3.5. The thing is, after I did that update, my PowerMac would no longer boot regularly, but just went dead after power on. Not even a grey screen or anything, it just remains black.

The only way I can get my computer to boot is by zapping the PRAM once, after which it'll display the icon indicating the mac can't find its OS for a while followed by booting up. It just seems as if the startup volume can't be found or something, but that's just a suspicion

Oh, I've run Disk Utility, no errors. Maybe I missed a firmware update or something? The hard drive, for those interested, is an IBM DDRS-39130D, rev. DC2A.

I do apologise if I missed a previous post on this subject.
