PowerMac G3 Series (Blue and White) Memory Upgrade

Hi,

I am thinking of upgrading the memory on a PowerMac G3 Series (Blue and White) from 384 MB to 896 MB. Will PC133 memory work? I know originally it has PC100, right? Can you mix PC133 and PC100 in the four slots?

I've never had any problems mixing PC100 and PC133 in either of mine. Go for it.

The only catch is that it HAS to be low density ram, the kind with chips on both sides of the board.....and 256mb is the largest size that machine can use, so you should just mAxDaRam to 1GB if you can 😱

Yes. Crucial is subsidiary of Micron, a major memory manufacturer. I think they know a thing or two about what memory will work in what machines. They also guarantee their memory. 🙂

I've never had a problem with any memory I've purchased from Crucial.
