Some MDDs will work with 1GB sticks, but for best compatibility it's recommended to use 512MB sticks to get to 2GB. If you do put in 4GB of ram, it won't boot and will give a bad ram error beep.

thanks guys for the quick and nice Awnsers  im looking for a 512MB stick to max out at 2GB then heh the iceing on the cake for this computer would be a X800XT (or is it pro?) but i think ill keep on dreaming :p i realy like the disighn of this computer the MDD and B&W/Grapite cases are my Favs (sorry quicksilver fans) i just need a B&W G3 and a Quick silver and ill have every oven door case desighn :D

You'll want to flash a PC ATI FireGL3 to be a Mac ATI X800XT. You can't use a Mac Edition ATI X800 in a G4, they're all G5 only. The PC FireGL3 will give you DVI and VGA out, instead of only VGA. They're also oddly cheaper in most places.

thanks for the info intel if i was to find the card u mentoin would i be able to flash it in my power mac G4 MDD? as i dont own a PC with an AGP slot :( also i cant seam to find the card u mentoin on eBay or Amazon? mac compatble/mac flashble cards seam quite hard to get ahold of in the UK (unless im looking in the rong places?)

Small mistake on my part, the card you want is a ATI Fire GL X3. I think you can flash it in your MDD, but check with other sources before committing on it. I know you can buy them preflashed, but they cost a bit more. Don't forget, you have to tape off pins 3 and 11. There are a few guides on the internet for how to do this.

thanks for the extra info intel sadly there still quite scers here i will reserch into flashing it on a power mac (eny one on here have some info on it?).i know about the pin 3 and 11 trick heh ill do the tape methord if i do do it to a card so i can use the card as an 8X AGP card if i ever get a Power mac G5

There are two ways of flashing the card under OS X on the Mac. The easiest way is with your monitor connected to a PCI graphics card that's also inserted. This is how I flashed my Radeon 9800XT. You can use any old Mac PCI card, I used a Rage 128 Pro. Then you just run the ATI Flasher Utility as normal (it will ask you which card you want to flash if it sees more than one ATI card).

The other way is to turn on screen sharing on the target Mac and use another computer to connect via VNC.

The flashing process would be very similar to my R9800XT which I did a write-up for: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1720292/

Forgive me! :D Are you a foreigner like me or is this "hood-speech". For me as a non-native-speaker it is getting hard to understand, what I am reading, when people use so much youth-/hood-talk like "R U" instead of "are you". ;)

Other than my useless language comment, I have Info for you. At cubeowner.com they have all flashing guides (better described than at the macelite.com), I had put a link to the guides in the FAQ in this Subforum, here.
