i recently bought a powermac G4 1 Ghz Dual Core Processor With 512 MB RAM

    The problem is:
When i power the computer on you can hear the fan spinning like crazy and heats up the room like crazy then crashes

Does someone know what this problem its very fast when it works!

I checked the cpu temp and its 120-180 degrees F

Try resetting the PMU and PRAM?

You might also want to download some fan control app and make sure all of the fans are working.

    G4s had faulty temp sensors.

It does sound like your machine is overheating, though. Have you taken a look inside? You might need to reseat the heatsink, and/or apply thermal grease. Make sure nothing's cutting off the airflow of the machine... how long until it crashes?

Make sure all the fans are working.
