I have just received two PowerMac G5 2.5GHz Quad systems. One is complete, the other missing the fan assembly for the memory, video adapter and the drives.
Here is the problem: both machines seem to startup properly in that they "chime" and come up to the "?" screen. After putting in a hard drive and booting from an install CD for OS X both systems start to boot, and then I get a screen dump (I'm not sure of the terminology, sorry). The text goes too fast to read, but it ends up at a sort of dos prompt. It won't take any keyboard entries.
I get the exact same result in both machines. Because I only have one video card, I am moving it between both systems while trying this.
    Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Probably fried CPUs from a leaking liquid cooling system
