powerplan 7 for turning off backlit keyboard

Has anyone used this app to turn off the backlit keyboard on windows 7 ? I know I can do it manually but this app supposedly does it automatically for you. It works but when the display turns off on power saver mode.. and I turn the display back on, the backlit keyboard turns back on again.. anyone else have this problem?

Any other app I can try that can turn off the backlit keyboard automatically ?
