Is there a program that will convert powerpoint files to something else? I have a MAC, and I own MSOffice, so I have no problem. However, my friend has a MacBook as well but does not have MSOffice and in class she is unable to open the Professor's powerpoint files. Any suggestions? Any free software?

    Thanks so much!
    We really appreciate it.

You can print the slides as a PDF file and then send it to her; she'll be able to open it in Preview.

    Thanks.

But the only problem is, is that numerous students are having this issue and I was looking for a quick fix so that I could help everyone. It's a HUGE class, and I couldn't do that for everyone!

    Any other suggestions?

Uh, you could print the file once to PDF and then distribute it to everyone else via e-mail, DropBox, fileshare, etc.

Buy MS Office at student pricing. It is dirt cheap, and problem solved.
