I have Office 365 installed on my 2022 MacBook Air, printing to an HP OfficeJet Pro 8740. So far, all my other apps are printing fine to the printer, with the exception of PowerPoint, which has a tendency to print in landscape mode even though portrait mode is selected.

This issue arises when I want to print handouts (2 slides per page) in PowerPoint. Portrait is selected within PowerPoint Page Setup and in the printer dialogue box. The visual representation of the print output is two slides per page in portrait mode; however, the physical printout is landscape.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a possible fix?

Thanks

Yep this bug has been driving me nuts for a year or two now. You have to go out of the print dialogue window and back to the orientation settings and click print notes in portrait EVEN THOUGH IT IS ALREADY SELECTED. Then go back to the print dialogue window and it should correct. Highly annoying, but that is the workaround. Let me know if they ever fix it or you find a better solution!

I have upgraded to Sonoma and version 16.771.1, and the problem appears to have been resolved. My last couple of print runs have gone straight through okay without doing the workaround as you suggest.
