So, I'm thinking of haiving a go at compiling this emulator front end for Tiger, if Tiger's version of Xcode is capable of it-

Compiling Attract Mode/OS X

Looking at the dependencies, it doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary. My question for the pros is this: Is there anything that you see in that list of dependencies that might be extremely outdated or missing from Tigerbrew?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I'm out of the loop with regards to compiling anything for OS X. It's been years.

Certainly not a pro at compiling stuff but from my SMtube experience on Tiger.
Homebrew doesn't exist on 10.4 to my knowledge , only TigerBrew .

Quick look dependencies will be ok, I don't know sfml however.
And I had a look , sfml recent source-code looks like it needs macOS and clang version which might not be available on Tiger.
But juist quick observations.

There is also the MacPorts route

Or build the dependencies from source ?

There are no dumb questions :D

Yeah I looked further into it, and it would be nearly impossible without some re-coding of the supporting libraries and compiler. Oh well...

Thanks for the reply.

What are you looking to emulate? Or, do you really want to run Attract-Mode — a front end on top of emulation software?

The front end. The only decent front end that runs on PowerPC Macs is buggy and lacks tons of features that makes it unsuitable for cabinet use.
