PPC ubuntu video issues

So I would like to install 13.04 ppc ubuntu on my powermac g5 11,2. With ati x1900 graphics card.

The live cd will boot to yaboot, then load the kernels, the screen goes white and monitor goes off.

Anyone got a workaround please?
Tried
Nouveau.modeset=0
Nouveau.noaccel=1

And a few others with no joy.

x1900 is ATI. Nouveau is for nvidia.
