Wondering the same thing. In the past we had to make the change after we placed the order.

Any way to be proactive and have the work shipping address setup before hand?

I'd like to know this as well. If I am ordering via Verizon, but on my Apple ID I have address 'X' and on my credit card billing address it is the same address 'X' but on my Verizon account it is address 'Y', could I just have it shipped to address X by simply using that card and having X on my Apple ID?

I plan on shipping to work. I changed my shipping info on my Apple Store account before I ordered. Worked for me when I preordered the iPhone 5.

I was able to receive the phone with different shipping and billing addresses.

Good question. Hoping we can get someone in here that has a definitive answer. I would love to be able to ship my phone to work. And if not, I hope UPS/FedEx don't require a signature!

I did it last year with my iphone 5S. They didn't question me or anything and I had it delivered to my job because of signature.

i remember the big freak out over shipping addresses for the iphone 5 release. i bought into the panic and didn't change my delivery address. however my home address and the credit card i used at that time were NOT the same. rather than take the chance of delaying my phone, i just stayed home from work. i wonder if perhaps this is an issue for people ordering from their carrier?

i can't imagine apple picks and chooses what you can and can't have shipped to an address other than the credit card address. i've ordered iMacs, macbook pros, iPad mini, apple tv, etc and had all of that delivered to my work address so that i can sign for them. i've never had an issue.

so this year i will just either put in the address at the time, if it allows, as it does with all other apple orders, or call once the order is placed.

I called Verizon and they said at checkout there is a ship to address that you can enter your work address in or you can call them and order and they will do it for you.

For those who got it delivered to work at what time did you receive your iphone?

UPS and Fedex come to my office anywhere from 10:30 to 1:00 depending on their loads that day. I can't activate it anyways since I'm at work, so that's never bothered me.

Now when I'm home waiting... that's when I have an issue! I look out the window at any little noise that sounds like a delivery truck!

I changed my billing/shipping address to my work (to ensure a signature) address temporary on apple.com, my att account and my credit card that i'll be using. It will stay there until I receive notification that my iPhone 6 has been shipped. Once it has, I'll change everything back to my home address.

Cool. Thnx for heads up. Just afraid I'm off work at 5 and it's stuck at work until I'm back on Monday

I tried this once. I work in a massive multi-building/block campus. Took an extra day at least, maybe 2 for them to get it to me.

If you work in a small office maybe, otherwise you are counting on another hand-off/delay.

That's where you need to know your drivers' schedules and when they usually deliver. i pretty much know i can have ups or fedex delivered to my office unless it's fedex home. the home service comes late to my office but earlier to my house. (don't have to worry about that with the phones though cuz it will be express "proper" not home or ups.)

and as far as ups vs fedex, i've had both deliver my phones although normal purchases are usually fedex.

i wouldn't even worry about the addy if i knew for a fact it would be ups cuz i'd just call or text my home driver and ask him to pass the package off to my work driver! don't have that luxury with fedex though.

When I Pre-order from apple, can i ship to my work?

Yes, I do it all the time. In fact, I prefer it, because I can't take time off from work to wait for it at home. Though I have done the store pick-up too and liked it. But for the iPhone, I rather have it delivered at work.
