Pre-order Iphone 14 with 7 gift cards

I don't think this is possible.. I got given lots of gift cards over the last year to save for a phone but when I go to pre-order it says a maximum of 4 gift cards can be used. On the phone, Apple sales said I had to go into the store to use them, I pointed out that unless the stores are open at 8:00am it is useless. They said my only option is to go on day of release.

Seems ridiculous to me, but oh well! Any other ideas? Never asking for gift cards again!!!!

Can you go to an Apple store this weekend and ask them to convert multiple cards into one?

Actually the US Apple payment policy states you can use up to 8 gift cards for an online order. Maybe pre-orders are handled differently.

"You can use up to eight Apple Gift Cards at a time when you purchase online from Apple, or if you’re placing an order by calling 1‑800‑MY‑APPLE. You can use your gift card(s) with an Apple Account Balance and Apple Pay or one credit card."
