This really bothers me as I was up at 3am EST on preorder day just to get a 5 week delivery from Apple - Dec 11.

i think they upped the production recently.

if the projection of the super cycle happening around Xmas is true then they definitely need to have phones made in time.

According to ATT, 256 SG appears to be most popular with Dec 8-22 delivery. Silver 64 GB can be had in November still.

FWIW, I suspect that the early adopters have jumped in and a fair chunk are in 'wait and watch' mode 🙂

This is not applicable to the U.S. Some European countries see the improvement so far.

I ordered from Apple app on 10/30 with a delivery date 12/12-12/18. 256 GB Silver AT&T Next Every Yr Plan. Apple app now shows delivers by 12/1-12/8! Hope to move into November soon !

I'm sure sometime between Friday and Sunday you'll be able to look at your local Apple Store's stock, order online and pick up the next day. Pre-order with delivery after release day makes no sense.
