touche! i still haven't been able to bring myself to make the switch from a PC... I'm scared of change, just like Brooks the librarian after he is released from Shawshank.

"I can't believe how fast things move on the outside. The world went and got itself in a big damn hurry!"

"Sometimes after work...i feed the birds...";)

It wouldn't surprise me if the 12:01 Pacific Time came and passed without the store making it available. If they do, it would be the first time Apple just opened the floodgates at a specific time. Years past, they just opened it up at random.

This policy of 'mums the word' regarding prerelease products is not good business! IMHO People will surf the website all night instead of doing something else, e.g. sleeping. :D I think the date/time combination should be upheld. Maybe they tip their buddies? Don't know.

Is it a ploy to direct tons of traffic to their website?

I imagine it's to keep millions of people from flooding the site at 12:01am PDT.
