I know when AT&T first talked about pre-ordering the iphone they said you would not be able to pick it up until 6/25 or after. I wander if anything has changed. Is there any chance you could pick it up on 6/24?

Pre-Order through AT&T. Pick up phone 6/24?

i asked 2 different stores.
NO
BUT they told me NOT to pre-order from Apple. Both stores begged me to pre-order from them (the specific sales person) and both sales associates said they would give me something for free.

ATT has a whole "launch day" manual floating around so it seems all those people who say they won't have it until the 25th are wrong wrong and wrong again
Huh? AT&T specifically said that if you reserve a phone, you have to wait until the 25th to pick it up. You can still not reserve a phone and wait on line on the 24th.
I dont understand why AT&T would do that. People who Pre-Order should be the ones who get the first iPhones.

i'm going to need a link to that. all the att press releases i am reading are saying you can pick it up on the 24th and even have it delivered directly to your home this year.
NONE of the AT&T Press Releases say you can pre-order and pick it up on the 24th.

that's what i told both sales associates that what is the point of pre-ordering only to have to wait till after the launch day? One girl said that they will actually get it Thursday but they won't be able to release it to you till Friday because of the crowds they expect. I was like um, that makes nooooo sense. And she said, hmmm yeah you are right. What!?!?!?

the girl said a $25 iTunes card. but i do not trust her at all. she was so desperate in getting me to come back on 6/15. the level of confidence is poor, i'm sorry but I am gonna pre-order from Apple and have it shipped directly to my house.

none of them say you can't... everyone is saying oh they won't give it to you until the 25th like that is written somewhere.

Exactly! What is wrong with people and not using SEARCH...let alone Google. Come on people...half of the threads started in here could be found through google and probably 9 times out of 10 it will direct you to MacRumors.com
one ATT sales kid did say to have it shipped to my home and it should get there on 6/24 but don't quote me on that. he looked extremely nervous when he said "it should get there on 6/24..."
i don't know, I feel better just going through Apple.
that highlighted line has been removed from all the current releases that att is putting out.
