Hi everyone!

I live in the US but I will be in Ireland on the iPhone X launch date. I would like to pre-order at 12:00 am PST from my current iPhone (I'll have international data on my Verizon plan and will have wifi access) but I'm concerned that there may be hiccups since I'm trying to order a US phone from another country.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Will it work smoothly or not at all? Are there other things I should do in advance to prepare? I've seen suggestions to use VPNs but that doesn't seem ideal because of speed issues - just wondering if there are other options or if I should have someone at home try to order one!

Thanks!

Not sure if you are out of the country now, but if you type in Apple.com and make sure that everything is in USD, you should be fine... it may automatically take you to the store in Ireland but from the US I know if you type in Apple.ca then you are on their Canadian site. Hope this helps. Also, wouldn’t hurt to try ordering an iPhone 8 through this method (don’t have to complete order) if you are in fact out of the country current.
