Pre-ordering Apple watch in UK

I'm currently living in a country where the Apple Watch won't be released on Apr 24.

I have a friend in the UK who is coming to visit on May 3.

Two questions:

- Can I place a preorder on apple.co.uk on Apr 10 from outside the UK and pay using a non-UK credit card, for delivery to a UK address?

- How long after April 24 can I expect before the order is delivered to London metro?

Any ideas what these two things mean:

"Please note we can only deliver within the same country that you are ordering from." -- does this mean the same country as in CC or as in IP?

"Apple accept most credit/debit cards from within the UK and outside of the UK. However you may be asked to provide additional documentation before Apple can process your order." -- what sort of additional documentation?

Possibly proof of ID. Having a credit card from a different country (or even a different shipping address) can be a sign of fraud.

Im planning to do the same, if it doesn't work i will make the trip to the UK for a weekend and combine it with a mini holiday.

It would probably be easier for your friend to order and pay for it initially and for you to then pay him back when he comes to visit you.
 
Does anyone know what time I can pre order the apple watch I live in the United kingdom.
I will be ordering on line.
Do I need to stay up to midnight or do you think it will be later ?

As said, it is usually 8am, however just 8 hours to the American (Pacific) pre order time. Midnight there is 8 am here.
 
Yes I'm starting to think maybe just stay up and just keep trying , some may say sounds sad but I've been waiting for the apple watch for around year and a half now.
Can't believe it 7 days to go.
 
I've just checked the uk Apple store
It now says pre order 10.4.15 8.01 am for the apple watch
Well that answers that one.
