I live in California but will be traveling in Europe when the iPhone X pre-orders go up, and am a bit concerned I'll run into regional issues. Has anyone done this?

K KrisLord macrumors 68000 Oct 12, 2017 #2 No experience, but I’m guessing the Apple app will direct you to a European store front if you’re in a country that has one. You might be safer using a browser as you can force it to the US Store?
