Resolved Pre-Ordering using Apple Account Balance

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know when Apple deducts the amount from the Apple Account Balance? Is it when the order status changes to ‘Preparing to Ship’?

I pre-ordered the Apple Watch S10 on Monday, but my balance hasn’t changed yet. It also seems like I can still place another order using that same balance. Any insights?

The status of my order just changed to 'Preparing to Ship' and my balance has been deducted!

I was wondering this myself. I redid my order yesterday b/c I didn't apply my Apple balance and I changed the band color. I see it's at processing now but no change to the account balance...guess I have to wait until preparing to ship.

Yup, the balance amount won't change until the status changes

Mine went to preparing to ship just about an hour ago and the balance went to zero. 👍🏼

I pre-ordered something that didn't ship yet. In the meantime I added more funds to my Apple Account balance. Do you know, does it take everything that is available on the apple account balance, or only the amount that i entered originally?

Hey! If you entered a specific amount on checkout, it should only take this amount.
