Hi,

I'm looking for a MacBook Pro thats pre unibody. Preferably something with maximum specs and as advanced as possible so early 2008 would be the best I think.

Now there are plenty on eBay but I'm specifically looking for one in a new condition. Still sealed would be ideal.

Does anyone know of a place or a person that would have these kind of things? Perhaps some old stock from shops or something similar? If thats not possible at all, does anyone know of very well refurbished products that are like new?

Thanks

Are you heartset specifically on the early 2008 pre-Uni, or would you also be interested in any of the Unis that followed?

I ask because a few Apple Authorized Service Providers in my area deal with older Macs extensively, and sometimes they do get like-new old-stock, but what they get and when they get it is not very predictable. You might be able to contact several of them, leave your info, and ask that they call you if they get something in (my guess is you are looking at several months of hunting or waiting.)

The joint in my area that does the most with used Macs is called MacMedics. They service ANY Mac of any year, and sell everything down to models made in the 80s, and they sometimes have obscure new-old-stock far older and rarer than what you seek. I know the staff/technicians personally, and can speak to their integrity. Although they do ask more than random sellers on eBay, they are a very good company to purchase an older Mac from, and they might be able to help you out.

With those requirements, it sounds like that may be an uphill battle. The internet is likely your best hope. Introduced in 2006, the last of those sold were the 13" 2010 models which were declared 'obsolete' by Apple in May of this year.

Just curious, why would you want an inferior polycarbonate unit, that's at least 9 years old, most likely without any warranty, and for which you will have an impossible time getting replacement parts should they be needed?
