Based the order in which the awards were announced, Doctor Q did rather poorly at first, dropping well behind 2nyRiggz, but he came from behind with correct predictions for the last set of awards, edging out 2nyRiggz by a single vote when "The Departed" beat "Babel" for Best Picture.

Sorry. There wasn't really a deadline other than me signing off the forums to go to an Oscar-watching party. You did well, with 11 correct predictions. I added you to the list of results above.

I do well in this MacRumors contest most years, but every year my wife has managed to get more predictions correct than I did in the Oscar pool at the annual party we go to. Good news: This year, for the first time, I had more correct predictions than she did! Bad news: I managed to lose the pool anyway, because somebody else beat me by one vote. It was my mom!

wow kinda surprised to be that good with guessing

i only saw blood diamond, the departed and something on TV about The Blood of Yingzhou District which made me confident that it would win easily

apart from that just a few trailers
