I figure I probably won't get too excited owning a Note7 for very long when I know in 2017...
- Galaxy S8 and Note8 get a 4K displays which will be the driving force to VR. Note7 already has the feature to lower resolution, so stop crying about battery life.
- Nokia returning to the smartphone business with a proper Android flagship. I love Nokia. Still innovative but were stuck with that Microsoft marriage for years.
- LG G6 with a more refined modular design
- Project Ara (more modular designs)
- Foldable displays which can change the game for tablets and phablets forever especially if they are also 2 in 1 hybrids.
- Nintendo NX
- Possible battery life breakthroughs
So while you go anticipate for your new glass design of the iPhone 8 with features Android had for years, I will be too busy checking out all the other options with Android devices in 2017. Your temporary high for any new device is never permanent. Anticipate the future. Things can change fast within six months.
Go anticipate your same glass slab design with iPhone 8 for another year. Android users are already well ahead of iPhone users. Anticipating this form factor...
