That's a battery killer and Apple loves to advertise at least 10 hrs of battery life for their tablets. So that feature is a big ? mark.

Yep but they can make measurement without haptic....
In the new MacBook retina with haptic you gain 1 hour of usage.... I don't think is such a big power consumer... Have you some data about vibration motors power consumption? I'm really curious in this field, since I don't have any knowledge... ;)

P.S. I really liked the idea of a vibration motor in the iPad 1 ( I haven't tried one in my life)
 
I bought my Air 2 with the intent to keep it for the next few years. The A8X is more powerful than any app can take advantage of, the RAM is plenty for me, the display is already higher than 1080p and the battery life is superb. All in an incredibly thin, light form factor.

Unless Apple releases something completely new, I won't be upgrading to the Air 3 (or Air 4 for that matter).
 
Probably, they will just put A9 in and call it a day. Starting at $499 for 16GB and a new Rose gold.
