What are you using to annotate PDF's and to create a seperate document where you keep your own notes in?

I'm looking for one application that can do the above, so that I don't have to swop between Goodreader and Evernotes which I am using at the moment. For example I highlight something in Goodreader, copy and paste it into Evernotes where I keep notes of the book I am reading.

Thanks

NotesPlus is what I've been using the past couple of days for handwriting Notes. Their hand recognition software works great, I use this when I need to send my notes to someone else.

Notability does a great job with general notetaking and annotating PDFs. You can insert multiple PDF files into a Notability file. You can insert blank note pages before or after any page. You can rearrange and delete select pages. It has a very clean and intuitive interface.

I prefer iAnnotate personally, I like all the rich features and the smooth vertical scrolling. However, I also think PDF Expert and GoodReader are high quality apps.

I like Notability, but use it for hand written notes, not pdf annotation.

Tried notability today in a meeting and was disappointed. I should have tried more of the features beforehand but didn't really think I needed it. The main problem was setting up a type text box anywhere on the screen. With iAnnotate I could place the text box anywhere and move it anywhere. Much more freedom on the page with iAnnotate. Tools are a bit more buried that notability but quicker overall in a timed meeting setting.

That is surprising. With Notability you tap the "+" icon on the bottom left of the screen, tap text, then tap wherever you want the text box to be placed. You can resize or drag it anywhere on the screen. Seems very simple and straight forward. As long as you have the text tools selected you can resize, move, change the paper for the text box, or select text to cut/copy. You can even select the text box and slide it to another page.

Good info. I will have to work with it. Testing the app while getting direction in the meeting wasn't the best idea...

If I remember correctly you dont even have to hit the + sign you can simply do a long tap with your finger anywhere on the page you want to enter a text box.

I will try that too. Used the app some more today and I will give it another run. It just seems quicker than iAnnotate. So far I'm back on the bandwagon.

You can check out our app called PDF Max on the AppStore: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pdf-max-annotate-sync-pdfs/id540572073?ls=1&mt=8. It is free to try & experience

Ok so I tried notability again and the UI during the meeting was much improved thank you for the tips... Now the source PDF I had to mark up didn't hold up to corporate email and printing. That should be a transparent thing but I have all sorts of unreadable squabble. So with that said back to iAnnotate.
