Premier Customers Only - What's your status?

I know some Fedex locations allow for pickup on Saturday. Anybody given any thought to asking them to hold it there and going there to pick it up on Saturday? Is this possible?
I received an email now from Premier that says part of my order shipped, and the rest will ship out. It lists a FedEx number. Twice actually, the same #. It also lists my new phone # for the new line.
The main at&T order status however shows the phone itself shipped, with the same tracking number, and no backorder status on anything. (It shows only the phone, previously it showed the phone, the sim, and freight.)
1LB weight sounds right for this phone, so I'm not worried. They're obviously shipping with SIM cards inside the phone, as all the AT&T iPhones did before. I mean, you can see this happening on YouTube - which at&t posted. (Impressive facility!)
I think the Premier status system is just messed up. It's shipping... everyone can relax. 🙂 And it's coming on Monday, but so what? Better than a week later or something.

Was curious about only seeing 1 pound weight on the fed ex site, so I confirmed with a att business rep via chat, that the entire order was shipped:

does it say scanned ??? or picked up ? mine still says "Shipment information sent to FedEx" and it also sayd "Initiated" ..so It didn`t leave yet. Once it gets scanned thats when we will know the real delivery date
Like other premier orders, AT&T e-mailed me saying part of my order shipped and the order status page is showing only the SIM card shipped. WTF is the point of shipping only the SIM card? It's totally useless without the new phone. I would be much less pissed if AT&T simply didn't ship anything. I'm tempted to call customer service just to let off steam. 😛
FYI, I actually ordered an upgrade thru the regular AT&T wireless page, but my my iPhone still got processed as a premier order since I get a discount thru my employer.

i just got an email with tracking number. when I go to FEDEX it gives an estimated delivery for 22nd.
i may look into this. i'll give them a call probably tomorrow once i know this package is in transit.

I wonder if shipping updates and tracking numbers are being given out from east coast to west coast in addition to date ordered. Being on the west coast, I am going to assume my folks don't get to work until 9 AM, which is why mine doesn't show shipped yet for an order on the 10th 🙂

Nope. I'm on the east coast and haven't gotten any shipping information (or notification that it has even shipped).

I agree. This is what that smiling idiot should have said;
"If you ordered your new iPhone from Apple, have no worries, you're covered!". "Also, if you ordered your phone to ship to the Apple Retail store and add a lot of extra work and cost for AT&T then you're still covered, you're going to get your phone on Friday!".
"If you're one of our special Premier customers, you know the business class folks who keep this garbage heap of a company afloat, we hate you, so suck a big one, your iPhone is going to show up next week".
"Ha ha ha ha ha... suckers!".
So much for first come first served. I ordered on the 10th as soon as they showed up on the Premier site, despite what the order status says below. Mine comes Monday also. Bummer.

I just got off the phone customer service and the CSR basically told me the same thing. So hopefully this whole partially shipping only SIM cards is a glitch in AT&T's systems. It is odd that the iPhone itself disappeared from the order status page for a bunch of people, and it makes no sense whatsoever to ship only a SIM card.
If this isn't a glitch, then I guess a bunch of folks are getting a big box with only a SIM inside. 😛

What's amazing is that AT&T didn't overnight these phones to us, but yet they were more than happy to priority ship phones to the retail stores and pay all the added cost of having someone service the customer, get the phone, explain everything to the customer and get their phone activated in the retail outlet.
Simply amazing.
AT&T, you fail.
I would Hulk smash everything in a hundred mile radius if I got the box on Monday and all it contained was a SIM card.
Does anyone else get a momentary thrill when they get a new email and then crash and burn when they see it's just the Nigerian money scam or a message from your mom?
