    Hey,

Anyone else having problems with After Effects and/or Premiere after that Security Update?
It automatically installed around 2 weeks ago, and I am highly suspicious it is the reason they both stopped working.

    I am on 10.9.5.

When I am clicking on "File" in the menu bar, I get a "Sorry, a serious error requires Premiere to shut down bla bla bla" error message. It also happens when I right-click a clip or an audio track I imported. Other than that it is working fine. Photoshop is also functioning flawlessly.

I am using a GTX780 and the drivers are up to date. Nvidia automatically downloaded new drivers a few minutes after that "security" update.

I googled for hours, found some topics with the same issues, but absolutely ALL are unanswered.

I really have no clue what else could be the problem, as I've changed nothing regarding my system!

Run CUDA-Z and an OpenCl test, see if both are working.

    Hey,

I ran Cuda-Z and everything seems fine to me. Which OpenCL test are you talking about? Is it the "Mac & i OpenCL Benchmark"?

Any of them, just trying to confirm it's working.

There was a GK110A vs B.issue that I seem to recall.

This could be related to the web driver issues people are having with productivity apps. Basically there have been a variety of OpenCL bugs in the web drivers for about a year. Some bugs have been fixed, but some bugs remain.

If you have the 780 that can run with OSX drivers then disable the web drivers and see if there is an improvement. If no improvement is seen then you can narrow it down to your apps.

Yea there were two revisions, but I got the right one. I tihnk it was Rev.A.
But the card is working absolutely fine and I do have no problems at all. Both After Effects and Premiere used to work perfectly fine withit until this stupid update dropped.

I recall already trying to test if it works with the OSX driver rather then the web drivers, but to no avail.
But I will give it another shot!

Do the OSX drivers have any cons compared to the web drivers?

    Thanks for the links.
*sigh* - I guess an OS X reinstall it is then...
