PreOrder Cancelation and IUP

So I preordered the 8+ for in-store pickup using my IUP upgrade and changed my mind - I just can't make my decision without at least holding the X. That said, Apple advised that I could cancel and maintain my eligibility, which I did.

Its only been a couple of hours, the preorder is successfully cancelled but my upgrade eligibility is still "Pending Upgrade." Has anyone been through this before? if so, how long did it take for eligibility to return?

Once you cancel, it can take couple of hours to 24 h to 48 hours for your eligibility to return.
