Has it been confirmed that we can use the AT&T Next program with preorders tonight on apple.com?

That's exactly what I'm doing too and when I go to the apple app, the option is there with the new iPhones so I don't see why it should be an issue with preordering.

Good thread. I was just thinking about this. I think NEXT is a good choice for me.

Just chatted with a apple rep....

Does Next change you contract in any way. I have a friend who wnats to do it but he has the unlimited plan and does not want to loose it. I told him he would not.

Right or wrong

Next has nothing to do with contract plan terms...it simply is a lease for the device itself.

Right. It doesn't change the contract. It's simply a 0% interest loan. That said, there's no benefit to using Next on older grandfathered plans.

I'm seeing that NEXT can be used through the Apple Store App but near the end it states that NEXT orders are not available for in-store pick-up!
Hmmmmm

no in-store pickup

.. that might be the only limitation ... maybe because ... they have a set number of phones for Next plan phones or something like that ... could be a tax variation from where you made the pre-order online to what store you chose ...

Continue through and it won't work.

right - you actually have to move to the next step AFTER you chose your device. Try it for the 5S. It forces you to pick the size (199, 299, etc..) color, then continue to next step, then the financing comes up, Next OR 2 year

I am assuming this same behavior will occur for the 6

I'm ordering mine with the next plan and this is what I'm seeing through the app right now. It seems fine to me. Just won't let me add to cart yet of course. image.jpg

Just spoke to apple sale rep at corporate. She said the next program is available tonight for preordering.

I heard that the Next program is not available in NY, Washington DC and Wyoming for some reason.

Is it New York State or New York City that is limited? I think there is some confusion here as to what "New York" means.
