Resolved Preorder went missing? edit: Eventually Ordered

I had a preorder ready to go at launch. I get up just before the system isn’t ready yet so I wait …

I fall back asleep but wake up at 615 to my regular wake up alarm. I open the app and my preorder screen is now gone and I’m back at the original first page.

I go through the process of just ordering regularly and it adds to cart. When I check the cart I get the spinning wheel of death and then this error message

What happened to my preorder setup?
 
My wife and I had the same problem. There’s a real glitch in the preorder system, especially with the iPhone Upgrade Program. Finally placed my order after 30 minutes. KEEP TRYING!

Did you just place the order regularly or did your preorder return?

And yeah I’m on the upgrade program but was electing to just buy outright and trade in my iPhone 13 since it had like $150 left and I would pay off the balance.


Going through regularly to checkout now I don’t see an option where it tells me I’m responsible for the IUP loan or that I’m sending in the IUP phone as trade in - just regular trade in
 
Same issue happed here. Had the preorder all set up. Went to log into the store on my iPhone app and got errors. Tried on my Mac and got errors. Finally got in and it said that my preorder had been deleted and I had to start over. I did that, placed my order and now my delivery is Oct 3 - 10.
 
Man, after so many years how can the Apple Store still have issues? So for my iPhone, I was able to use Apple Pay and got it. Saw the confirmation screen and I got a confirmation email. Next was the new AirPods Pro. I got two payment failures BUT I got two confirmation emails. I’ll obviously cancel one. And I saw two emails. And later I saw all three in the Apple Store app. 30 minutes pass by and I decide to get an Apple Case for my iPhone. Errors persist and I give it another 30 minutes. And I buy it. Get the email. But this time when I check the Apple Store app, I ONLY see the case. No iPhone and no 2 orders of the AirPods Pro. I dunno what think. I hope it’s just a glitch and it’ll come back. Cuz I have the emails and I feel like emails count the most.

After 12 months on the IUP you won’t see that option for your current iPhone. It’s set up to turn your phone in after 6 - 12 payments have been made.

With only $150 left you could trade it in or just sell it yourself.

Well when I did the preorder this screen did show up so that’s what I chose continue with trade in - it’s not an option anywhere now. And choosing the IUP area now only goes with trading in to start IUP again which I didnt want to do

Interesting! That‘s not what I was told. Of course, I’m relying on info from 2015, when I first joined the IUP.
 
I ordered mine at 8:03 am. It showed up in my "orders" but disappeared from showing that I even ordered it. I even got an email about my service agreement with AT&T. Now, it's nowhere to be found.
 
Still no preorder setup on my account but I was able to do a preorder which it did revert back to the steps I mentioned earlier of showing the option of continuing the IUP payments


Still weird all together how it just went away
 
The same thing happened to me. When I first got into the store, there was a link to check out my preorder, but then everything completely disappeared when I clicked on the link. In the interim, I came to my right mind and canceled when it reappeared (maybe 10 minutes later). I figured it was a sign. I've checked once or twice and the order appears to be completely gone, so I guess it's really canceled. Then again, I probably wouldn't be too surprised if it showed up anyway.
 
I am just glad it is over for now. They have already removed my money from my bank account so shipping will be next. I refuse to get excited about tracking as it will always arrives on the day Apple promises.

Kudos to Apple, a very smooth even for sure for both my phone and ultra.

Yep, something sort of like this happened when I tried to order.

I set up the iPhones the prior night to be ready for the pre-order. The first few minute of the orders being opened I could not even access the page to load the pre-orders. After I was able to access the page, the pre-order configs were not there. I had to log out a few times and then eventually the pre-order configs were there. But this meant that now I was around at least 8:08AM or later. So eventually I ended up checking out the pre-ordered configs with the delivery date of Oct 3rd-Oct 10th.

So a bit after the launch delivery date. It seems like the site was glitchy for a few people. If I was able to order earlier, most likely I would've gotten an earlier date. But oh well, it's fine.
