Anyone else pre-order through AT&T's website? I have the iPhone Messaging 200 text plan for $5 (no longer available, of course) and AT&T informs me that this plan will be removed. However, I'm all the way to the checkout page and there was never an option provided to select a text plan of any kind (or choose pay-per-text).

Anyone else who ordered direct from ATT, what did you experience in terms of text plans? Were you able to choose one?

I ordered through the Apple website, but was forced out of my cheaper SMS plan, too. I am currently on a $15/1000sms package, and was forced into the unlimited. Oh well, at least for me it's only a $5 upgrade per month.

The change must be tied to individual texting plans. I have an unlimited texting plan for my entire account (3 phones) and didn't have the option to change it.

I chatted with a CSR, who forwarded my to a "specialist." She said that the $5 text messaging and Unlimited Data plans are no longer available; however, if you call customer care are placing the order, they can add those plans back. It's just that the online system will no longer recognize those plans.

I'm on hold now...
