Preordering using the iOS Apple app - how do I refresh when waiting for the preorder to go live?

I am going to be preordering through the iOS Apple app. I have the phone favorited already - is this the best way to do it?

How do I refresh my favorites page to check when it goes live? Do I just keep closing and opening the app, and going to the favorites page to see if it will let me proceed? Right now, if I go to my favorited iPhone X, the continue button is basically grayed out. Will this turn to a solid color once it goes live?

I just want to make sure I am refreshing the page using the fastest method possible. Thanks!!!

Double click home button. Force close the app. Re open.

And yes, having it saved as favorite is best way.
