Hello, my nerds <3

I wanted to see if anyone has any tips for preordering an iPhone (on launch) for a line on an AT&T Business account via apple.com. I've tried preordering launch iPhones in the past with my wireless number, but I can never complete the purchase because Apple cannot verify my upgrade status with AT&T (due to some restriction on business accounts).

I'm not trying to finance the device or use an upgrade program, I simply wish to purchase the device outright on launch. I'm the primary account holder, and am authorized on the AT&T-side of things to make modifications to my plan and devices.

Figured some other desperate geek had the same question, hopefully we can find a way to score an iPhone Edition/whatever on launch.

Cheers

I'm in the same boat. In the past I just pre ordered T-Mobile phones (since they're unlocked and don't require carrier verification), but the ATT/T-Mobile model was inferior with the 7 series, so I had to purchase in-store a day after launch. Let's hope they offer a SIM FREE model at launch this year.

[doublepost=1504797244][/doublepost]Why was the T-Mobile/ATT inferior? I thought the T-Mobile would work with any carrier's SIM card, especially ATT. Were you using Verizon or Sprint with it. I'm on a business account with ATT and may purchase the T-Mobile version since it doesn't ask for line or account info but want to make sure it works so curious about your experience. Thanks!

The T-Mobile & ATT iPhone 7's supported only GSM, but the Sprint, Verizon & SIM FREE iPhone 7's supported GSM and CDMA. I wanted to get the most capable phone, so I opted for the Verizon model.

However, if you're just sticking with AT&T, either model would work the same on AT&T. I just wanted to keep the doors open to switch carriers.

Makes sense. Thanks for the reply. Thought the T-Mobile worked fine with ATT.
