Yup. You can just get an h2o wireless sim. I'm using one of them now in my iphone 4. H2o is a prepaid company that uses AT&T's towers so you don't need to unlock your phone. www.h2owirelessnow.com

I second H2O, I've been testing them out for a couple of weeks now with my 3GS. Same reception as AT&T. You do have to download a new APN profile for data to work, but not a big deal.

They have all unlimited for $60/mo, how is the data speed?

I second this - how is the data speed? Also, I've been reading a bit on it - do they mail you a sim card?

Using them requires no jailbreak or unlock at all for iphones using iOS5?

Thanks!

You can buy an h20 sim at bestbuy. They resell service from att, so data speed etc should be the same.

Went to two Best Buys today, neither of them had it (though they have the plan cards laying around everywhere) - it, in this case, is the actual starter sim card.

I just ordered a $4 one of amazon and a sim cutter - will see how well it works!!

Cheers,
Brian

No, you don't need to unlock AT&T phones to use on this network because they use AT&T towers.

Here's a very helpful thread about it:

7-11 sells them. Also, I have some brand new h2o sims with the direct dialing feature (the newer ones)for sale if anyone else is interested.

I've heard they throttle down the speed down to EDGE speeds.

Simply Mobile does this, but from what I've heard H2o doesn't do this.
