Come July I'm visiting NYC for 2 weeks and I would like to get a prepaid USA sim.
Does anyone have any experience with such a service and if so, which options are best?

    Thanks in advance.

Just go to a local AT&T or other carrier of your choice in NYC.
You can get a 1 month contract with plenty of data time for around $60-80 US.
I travel alot and have looked into the various worldwide sims....they're expensive.
I usually go to a store and pick up a sim card for whatever country i'm in.
When I know i'm returning to a specific country i'll bring that sim with me and reactivate it.
One more thing.....Smith & Wollensky has some of the best steaks in the city.
(The bone-in Ribeye is my favorite....Their Porterhouse is #2)

If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere Quality Meats is a very good choice.
The steaks come from the same butcher in NYC.
It'a also very close to Central Park.
A little cheaper, more casual (blue jeans are OK) and the same steak.
    Both are excellent choices.

The T-Mobile pay-go is a better choice. Costs much less than the AT&T option, pricing is similar to the payg plans in the EU where you can choose your "add-ons." But there are also the Simply pre-paid plans. My service has been better on TMO than AT&T here as well.
