Preparing Backup...........

So I'm running lion on my 2009 macbook pro and recently (the last week or so) when I go to backup it starts going and then just sits at "Preparing Backup" and just does this with nothing changing.

So yea.... Thats about it how do I fix this?

Try booting from the restoration partition (hold down the Option Key after the gong) and repair the volume in Disk Utility and see how you get on.
