I don't have it as good as you, but if I see Preparing to Ship in the next 12 hours, I'll get excited.
Both mine are now showing preparing to ship. Mine just changed in the last hour. My wifes changed about 12 hours ago.

I think it depends on where you live, as to when it ships. I’m in New Orleans and usually my phone comes from a hub in Tennessee. So I wouldn’t be surprised in my case that if my phone is already there, that I wouldn’t see a status update until sometime next week. Other ppl may see updates sooner, depending on where it is. And where it is going.

my delivery estimate changed from Nov 10-17 to Nov 3. Placed order at 2:04 AM central time.

I ordered two Xs.
Last night, I got charged for one and it is preparing for shipment. The other I have not yet been charged for and is still “order in progress.” Delivery date still says 11/3.
These two orders were placed in the Apple app a couple seconds apart. Identical color and models.
Is this normal? Or should I only focus on the delivery times?

Focus on delivery times, My 6s Plus didn't change to shipping until 2 days before official launch. You'll be getting both on Nov. 3.

Unlike the past it seems like they are providing shipping status from China. In the US, we use to not see shipping changes until Wednesday or Thursday when they were already in the states.

I remember having to do Ninja tactics using my phone number as the reference number and track on UPS/FedEX.
Are you in the US? I know other countries get shipping early, but the US typically wouldn’t see changes to their status until a day or two before launch.
