Is there a way to require a longer hold when pressing the eject button on a mac keyboard? In my case it's a 2010 Mac Pro and I constantly hit the eject key in addition to the delete key when typing.

Yes, I could type more carefully, but... let's face it... it's the silliest place for an eject button. How about where the F19 key is instead??

And where do you suggest that the f19 key be put? Obviously different people have different needs and typing skills so it the old case of not being able to please everyone all the time. So while I don't think you can change the length of a press on any key you could remap the keyboard to change the function of the keys. This however is pretty dangerous stuff if you don't know exactly what you are doing. see Karabiner here, https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/

Well... you are right that all people cannot be pleased all the time... but frankly... how often does anyone but the most powerful power users actually use F13 - F19 keys? I'd ditch the F19 key altogether and just move the eject key over there, leaving nothing above the delete key.

I'm actually kind of surprised the newest keyboards have an eject key at all. I'm guessing it'll go away in a few years.
