Hello,

Kindly help me to figure out this problem, IOS 11.1, iPhone 7 plus.

Whenever I've any notification on my lock screen, and I press the home button to see only notification without entering or unlock the lock screen, but when my finger touches the home button it's taking me directly to the home screen.

Please help me how I can see only notification without having to get access to the home screen. I know about the "Raise to Wake" option, but I don't want to use that.

Thank you

TouchID is very fast, so it unlocks your phone and goes to the home screen all before you even have a chance to change your mind. If you want to stay on the lock screen, you can always just use the side power button to turn the screen on instead of the home button. Or try using the very tip of your finger, or not cover the entire home button, to force TouchID to fail when reading your fingerprint. That’s what I do when I just want to skip a song or something, but not actually go into the phone.

Try:
Settings > General > Accessibiliy > Home Button > Turn on 'Rest Finger to Open'.
I don’t think that is what OP is looking for. That might actually make their problem even more pronounced, as it doesn’t require a press.

Ah yes. True. The option I mentioned should be "off".

So, basically there is no way to look at the lock screen, except to pinch the home button or power button.....but it was there in ios 11.0.2 i think...:\
